Rachel Catt Featured in the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s Professional Spotlight for The 1891 B

On June 26th, 2020, Rachel Catt, Owner and Principal Attorney at the Law Office of Rachel Catt, LLC, was featured in the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s The 1891 Blog with a professional spotlight on her outstanding work as an attorney in Family Law and LGBTQ+ Law.

In the article, Catt was commended for her strategic approaches to family law, dedication to compassionate counsel, and unprecedented successes on behalf of her clients. Since 2002, Rachel has been known for her savvy approach to family law. Her work has helped both alternative and traditional families find solutions to their disputes. One of her most well-known successes, Charisma R. v. Kristina S., allowed a non-biological parent in a same-sex marriage to beat the odds and receive parental rights of her child.

Rachel was also commended for her work influencing public policy as the President of the LGBT Bar Association in Colorado in 2019 and as a current member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s Judicial Endorsements and Legislative Committees.

Though there are still many more battles to fight for in the pursuit of equal rights for LGBTQ+ citizens and their families, the successes of the past few decades are inspiring and encouraging to anyone with their thumb on the pulse of civil rights. Rachel’s impact on this fight has been unquestionable, and she continually works towards positive change in the lives of Coloradoans of every background and family orientation.
